Valentines Day Goody Swap

I remember a time when I used to get candy, flowers, a beautiful card and a nice romantic dinner on Valentine’s Day.
Now it’s a school made card from Girlie Girl and take out from Big City Diner. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining. I love my special made card and Big City Diner has the best guava baby back ribs in the world! Yum!
This year I thought I’d like to do something fun and hopefully you’ll all join me. How about a Valentine’s Day Goody Swap? I was going to make it a candy swap but thought I’d broaden the options.
Here’s how it works:
If you’d like to participate, just add your link to the Mr. Linky below. You have until January 31st to sign-up.
You will be sending your package to the person next in line. For example, I will sign up first and send my package to the 2nd person who signs up, the 2nd person will send to the 3rd, and so on. The last person will send a package to me. Got it?
In order to try and get to know each other better, I have posted a questionnaire in hopes we learn a little more about you. You can post your answers on your blog or in comments.
It is your responsibility to contact your recepient to obtain their mailing address. Use this opportunity to meet a new blogger and possibly make a new friend!
Beginning February 1st, you may start mailing out your goody packages. Please try to get them to their receivers before February 14th.
You should try to spend somewhere between $8 - $10, not including shipping charges.
As an added incentive, the person who refers the most people to join this event will receive a box of chocolate covered macadamia nut shortbread cookies from me. Make sure they mention your name!
Once you’ve received your goodies, don’t forget to take pictures so we can all see what you got!
Have Fun!
Questionnaire:
What is your idea of a romantic Valentine’s Day? unique, something that took a lot of thought, I want to see how important I am.
In reality, what is your Valentine’s Day really like? last minute presents, and if we're lucky going out to dinner by ourselves.
If you could have a lifetime supply of your favorite sweet indulgence, what would it be? DARK CHOCOLATE
Is there any sweet treat you absolutely do not like? can't think of any
If you fell into a pool of chocolate, how would you get out? I'd set up camp!!!

A Little Men Bashing

What's up with this? Men are such babies when they are sick, ya know. I love mine with all my heart but good lord, sometimes I want to kick him. Mine was sick for a couple of days, and first I babied him, but then when he was just plain cranky, then I was like screw this! Ya know when women get sick we have to keep on plugging no matter what. ( But that's why it's really a woman's world, and we are the stronger sex) LOL. Little feminism going on here, bear with me. That's why when good ol' Aunt Flow comes to visit, I have no responsibility for my behavior ;) Just thought I'd vent before I really go and kick my man LOL!!

Good ol' Johnny says it all!!

Lil' Johnny goes to his dad and asks, "What is politics?" Dad says, "Well son, let me try to explain it this way. I'm the breadwinner of the family, so let's call me Capitalism. Mommy is the administrator of the money, so we'll call her the Government. We're here to take care of your needs, so we'll call you The People. The nanny, well, consider her The Working Class. Your baby brother, we'll call him The Future. Now go think about this and see if it makes sense."
So the little boy goes off to bed thinking about what Dad has said. Later that night, he hears his baby brother crying and runs to his room only to find that his diapers are very soiled. So the little boy goes to his parents' room. Mom is sound asleep. Not wanting to wake her, he goes to the nanny's room. Finding the door locked, he looks through the peephole and sees his father in bed with the nanny. He gives up and goes back to bed.
The next morning, the little boy says to his father, "Dad, I think I understand what politics is now."
"Good son, tell me in your own words then what politics are."
The little boy replies, "Well, while Capitalism is screwing the Working Class, the Government is sound asleep, the People are being ignored and the Future is in deep shit."

My little kiddos

I have 3 little tots. A 2 1/2 yr old and 17 month old twins. They are all over the place, I can't turn my head for a second! All girls to. I guess everything I dished out to my mom, I WILL get it back, it's inevitable now! LOL

They climb on EVERYTHING! And if they can't reach something, they find a way. Sometimes it's funny and sometimes it is so aggravating. What's so funy is they have more toys than they know what to do with and they still fight over toys, ha! "It's Mine!!" That chimes all day long. Oh well, the fun days are here and I had better enjoy it, because they are already growing so fast, I don't even want to think how fast 10 years will go. Anyhoo, thought I'd share.

What a Day

Ya know some days just suck! I guess I am really using my blog by venting. But today is just one of those days, where everything is just getting on my nerves. The kids are driving me crazy! Any other woman would understand what I am saying, especially if you are a mom. Okay, enough of the negative thoughts, I just have to take a deep breath and start my thoughts over on another note. I like how I changed my template on my Blog. I like this a whole lot better, the other one got boring. Maybe I'll change it every week. I have been slacking on this thing, by not putting any entries. Hopefully I get in touch with alot more people, that would be fun.
